Volunteer Opportunities

Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always,
t
o the end of the age.                                                                          -
Matthew 28: 19-20

Do you, the people of this church, promise to tell our newest disciple(s) the good news of the gospel, to help her know all that Christ commands and, by our fellowship, to strengthen his family ties with the household of God?                                                                                     From the PCUSA Baptism Service

When a child is baptized in our church family, the congregation promises to be a part of that child’s formation as a disciple of Christ.   We make this promise because we recognize that this is not a job for parents alone.   As members and friends at Collingwood, we take turns – singles, parents, grandparents - being personally responsible for this vital task.

Whether or not you currently have children at home, please consider offering help in nurturing the spiritual lives of our young ones.   If you are inspired to serve in any of our programs for children and youth, please email Rev. Barb McRae or Melissa Marcus, Christian Education Elder.
